Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the new Gaudi Music Newsletter :) It is our aim with these emails to keep you better in touch with what Gaudi is up to, with tour updates, news and views and also to give you the opportunity to get your ears on the latest hot, fresh sounds that are coming out of the studio...

30 YEARS OF BIGGIN' UP THE BASS...

G on step... this year Gaudi is celebrating 30 years in the music industry.. His constantly evolving and prolific career started in 1981 and he's been a busy man ever since. With 12 solo albums to date, 250 music productions, 90 remixes and more than 100 compilations featuring his tracks, Gaudi's work has built him a loyal fan-base and a high level of respect from within the industry - his music has earned him 5 Gold Discs, a nomination for a BBC World Music Award and is regularly present in various UK and USA music and sales charts.

G performanceFollowing on from the success of his last album 'No Prisoners', Gaudi has been touring extensively in Canada, USA and Europe; shaking up dance floors, with his trademark phat basslines rolling through every one of his energetic and inspiring performances. This summer he has rejoined forces with UK Champion beat boxer Danny Ladwa and together they have been rockin' up the west coast of America as well as Glade, Glastonbury, One Love Festival in the UK, Aurora in Greece, and Sonica in Montenegro so far this year. Gaudi also played Burning Man for the first time this year which was a huge success - check his video here. The tour continues in October for 5 weeks in USA, Canada and Hawaii, part of the tour will be with Mad Professor and Twilight Circus.... full tour date information can be found on facebook, myspace and @ www.gaudimusic.com/gigs.

check out his tour videos on the audio/video page of his website.

NEW BEGININGSscreen

Alongside his solo work Gaudi has an exciting new collaborative project... SCREEN ... Screen are Gaudi, Alex Paterson (of The Orb) and Chester and they have just finished their debut album "We a.r.e. Screen!". The album will be released in February 2012 by legendary punk label Malicious Damage, however you wont have to wait that long for your first taste of the new stuff - they have just finished filming the video for the first single JOYCZ (just outside your comfort zone) which will be released in October this year.

A new compilation, "EVERLASTING - Selected & mixed by Gaudi", created for Iboga Records, is due for release worldwide in November; It's a double CD of mostly exclusive tracks from an amazing line up of artists including: Lamb, The Orb, Trentemoller, Shpongle, Gaudi, Tipper, Mad Professor, Tripswitch, Pete Namlook, Eat Static, Screen, Vacuum Science, Funsui, Variant Field, System 7, Lulu Rouge, Vlastur, Krusseldorf, Capes and Pitch Black.... Definitely one for the collection!

Gaudi is also working on his 13th album which is due to be released in spring 2012 by Six Degrees Records.. he's playing things close to his chest with this one at the moment however we can confirm there will be plenty of bass, driving beats and collaborations with some real musical legends :) We will keep you posted with more news on this one as we get it!

Coming sooner will be the release of 4 of Gaudi's new remixes - all due out in November: his remix of The Orb track "Meandering through the emerald turf" will appear on the new Orb album "C Batter C", (Malicious Damage), his remix of the Lamb track "Build a fire" on a Lamb remixes album (Strata Music), as well as his remixes of Trentemoller's track "Always something better" (Pokerflat) and Animation (Rarenoize). Gaudi has also produced 2 tracks for Hawaiian Reggae star Marty Dread - a cover of Edie Brickell "What i am", and the track "Nuclear ting" - which will both be included on Marty's new album "It sometimes rains in paradise" (Five corners records).

And finally... the gaudimusic website (www.gaudimusic.com) has had a face (and content) lift.. The new site is up and running, however we anticipate the odd tweak will be needed over the next few days so thank you for your patience and please feel free to let us know if you encounter any problems at webmaster@gaudimusic.com

Thats about it for now, we hope you've had a great and groove-laden summer ;) Hope to see you on a dance floor somewhere soon..

Thank you for your continued support
